Arise!
Shine!

Sometimes it’s hard to know or even imagine the hardships and situations that go on around the world but millions of children are facing and going through unimaginable situations. Not only in Uganda but in many African countries.
Many of these children are orphaned either by the death of their parents or by abandonment.

This little boy is called favour, he is one of those children. His father died, he was left with his mother who later disappeared. He was taken in to his grandmothers care. His grandmother was struggling to provide for him.

Praise the lord that Favour is under arise childcare initiative. He is getting two meals a day and flourishing under our care.
I believe that God lives where the poor live, I believe that God has a special place for these little children.

Yes! We all believe that God lives in all of us; among the rich and wealthy, but one thing that we can all agree upon is that, God is with the vulnerable and hurting children. God is with them when they sleep, God is with them when they play. God is with them when they cry, God is in the silence they make when they have no hope. God is in their lives.

Isaiah 58:9-11
If you do away with the York of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk and if you spend yourself on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness and your night will become like noonday. The lord will guide you always, he will satisfy your needs in the land and he will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
